lanolin

Mar 2019

Derived from sheep wool, the word lanolin is based on the Latin word lāna meaning ‘wool’, and oleum meaning ‘oil.’ This is even thicker than castor oil and is also a superb emollient. Its primary purpose is to protect and waterproof the skin and wool of a sheep and has the same affect on human skin. High in cholesterol and alpha hydroxy acids, it nourishes, brightens, and moisturizes even the driest skin.
